KICK OFF FOR TRAINEES
Training contract signed and then immediately left alone on the floor? Not with us! The Gundlach Packaging Group is part of the corporate network of the Gundlach Group and thus offers great networking opportunities right from the start. At the beginning of the training, our trainees from the entire network take part in a joint kick-off meeting. In addition to getting to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere, various workshops with professional trainers are on the schedule. To conclude, the owner family, management, and trainers will visit.
First a kick off and then...? Out of sight, out of mind? We’re not like that. Once a year, all trainees from the Gundlach group network meet at a selected location, which is known as “same procedure as every year”. Network, network, network – during the day in professionally managed workshops, and in the evenings in a relaxed atmosphere with the owner family, management, and trainers. The annual network meeting concludes with a presentation of the workshop results from the previous day given by trainees in front of the owner family, management, and trainers.
GUNDLACH FUTURE PROGRAM
Looking into the future together and creating the basis for modern teamwork is what the 3-year qualification program Gundlach Future Program is all about. Dedicated experts from various areas of the Gundlach Packaging Group’s three locations will be given the opportunity to promote the future initiatives platform across departments. One aspect of individual development within the program is a professional personality profile for each participant. On top, there are 4 joint workshops a year to work on company culture, agile working methods and personal skills guided by professional trainers.
The wish of our owner family has always been to not just support a balance between work and family, but to actively contribute to it. Since August 1, 2019, we have been able to make this wish a reality – The kindergarten KiTa Gundlach is now on site in Oerlinghausen. KiTa Gundlach offers children under 3 years old and over 3 years old childcare places for the employees of Gundlach Packaging Group as well as other businesses and families in the surrounding area. A special feature: every place of an employee's child is subsidized by Gundlach with € 1,500 per year. Additionally, together with the von Laer Foundation Bielefeld, a care package has been developed that meets the special needs of industrial employees – designed according to modern requirements, proximity to the workplace and with opening hours that are compatible with shift patterns.
BLEIB FIT MIT GUNDLACH
The health of our staff is very important to us. That’s why the Gundlach Packaging Group supports its employees to keep fit. At the Oerlinghausen location, for example, employees receive a subsidy for private fitness training or can lease bicycles from certified partners for an attractive price. At the Mahlberg location, the neighbouring farmer delivers a selection of fresh fruit every day. Joint participation in company runs and other activities not only promote physical health but also team spirit across all locations.
GUNDLACH IDEEN MANAGEMENT
Only those who stray from the well-trodden paths discover new ones. This is also true in a technologically-driven, industrial work environment. That’s why every idea that leads us down a new, better path is important to us. Suggestions for improving processes, organisation, technologies... every idea matters. Gundlach Idea Management offers a platform, which enables everyone to effectively contribute ideas. If the committee decides to implement an idea, there’s a bonus given.
